At ZPHS Veparala in Andhra Pradesh, many Grade 6 students once found Mathematics to be a challenging subject. Basic concepts and problem-solving often seemed difficult, affecting their confidence and classroom participation. Recognizing the need for additional academic support, eVidyaloka’s Digital Classroom program introduced structured online Mathematics sessions aimed at strengthening students’ understanding and building a positive learning experience. The Volunteer Teacher, the Class Assistant and the school Headmaster have played a central role in making Math accessible to the class.
A key factor in this transformation has been the consistent efforts of Volunteer Teacher Pardhu Sir. Despite the limited duration of each online session, he focused on ensuring that students clearly understood every concept before moving forward. Through patient explanations, regular interaction, and continuous encouragement, he helped students develop confidence in solving mathematical problems independently. His commitment ensured that every student remained engaged and progressed at their own pace.
The success of the program was further reinforced by the dedicated support of Class Assistant Padma. She helped create a disciplined learning environment by monitoring student participation, reviewing notes, and ensuring that worksheets were completed on time. Her regular follow-up encouraged students to practice consistently, enabling them to reinforce classroom learning and improve their understanding of key concepts.
The active support of Headmaster G Balaiah played an important role in sustaining the program's impact. By encouraging student participation and supporting the implementation of digital learning initiatives, He has been pivotal in creating an environment where students could fully benefit from the opportunities provided through the eVidyaloka Digital Classroom.
The combined efforts of the volunteer teacher, class assistant, and school leadership have resulted in a noticeable improvement in students' mathematical abilities. Students who once struggled with basic concepts are now approaching Mathematics with greater confidence and achieving better results in school assessments. More importantly, they have developed a stronger interest in learning and a belief in their ability to succeed.
The story of ZPHS Veparala demonstrates how collaborative support and consistent guidance can transform learning outcomes. It highlights the impact of eVidyaloka’s Digital Classroom model in strengthening foundational learning and creating opportunities for students to build confidence, improve academic performance, and progress toward a brighter future.
