From Passion to Purpose: Vyshnavi’s Online Teaching Journey

eVidyaloka|March 2026

“Volunteering as an online teacher has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Even though the classes are virtual, the connection I built with my students felt just as real and meaningful.” For Vyshnavi Kaluri, teaching has always been more than just an interest; it has been a passion close to her heart. Through volunteering, that passion gradually found a deeper purpose.

Vyshnavi had the opportunity to mentor students in preparing for the NMMS exam at a government school in Andhra Pradesh. Reflecting on her experience, she shares, “What I appreciate most about eVidyaloka is the way it brings quality education to children while giving volunteers like me the ability to teach from the comfort of our home. This flexibility made it easier for me to give my best, stay consistent, and balance volunteering with other responsibilities.”

Making learning interactive and fun

Vyshnavi ensures that learning in her classes is never passive. While teaching English, she designs presentations that encourage students to practice everyday conversations and learn new vocabulary in every session. Describing her approach, she says, “I use fun online activities and games to keep the energy high, and I love watching them slowly gain confidence in speaking. Seeing them use new words on their own always made me smile.”

She brings the same enthusiasm to her Math classes as well. Concepts are simplified using easy techniques, shortcuts, and formulas, often explained through visual methods so that every student can follow along comfortably. Using interactive learning tools, her virtual classroom turns into a lively and positive space.

Teaching with teamwork

Vyshnavi feels well supported not only by the eVidyaloka team but also by the Class Assistant, the School Headmaster, and other members of the school faculty. She shares, “From day one, every step of the process was clear and comfortable. The class assistants also played a huge role in managing attendance, helping students, and supporting me during the sessions. Their presence allowed me to focus fully on teaching and engaging with the children.”

Her greatest motivation comes from her students. Their smiles, enthusiasm, and curiosity constantly remind her why she loves teaching. Reflecting on her journey, she shares, “Teaching through eVidyaloka has been a rewarding experience filled with learning, joy, and meaningful moments.” Inspired by these experiences, she looks forward to continuing to teach and volunteer, helping many more young minds discover the power of education.
