Unlocking the Joy of AI Learning

eVidyaloka|October 2025

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to shape the future, eVidyaloka’s digital classrooms enable volunteers to connect virtually and deliver engaging AI lessons, making this knowledge accessible to students in even the most remote regions. In collaboration with Microsoft through the BRAIN program, online Artificial Intelligence (AI) classes have been launched for children in rural government schools across India, aiming to bridge the digital divide by bringing AI education to the rural heartlands of India.

Unhindered by distance and with the encouragement of the school Headmasters, these classes are motivating students to discover, explore, and expand their knowledge.

Bringing AI to the Heart of Kokilampadu

Anand Srinivas

In the NTR District of Andhra Pradesh lies the remote village of Kokilampadu- a place surrounded by dense forests and hilly terrains. This geographical isolation poses several challenges in accessing advanced educational resources. With the support of our partners and volunteers the students were able to attend their first class on AI.

The volunteer teacher Ramaiah T.K. shares the interest and curiosity of the students he observes during the session. This introduction of AI education in such a remote location has not only broadened the educational horizon for the students but also brought a sense of excitement and pride to the local community. The opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technology in a government school as isolated as Kokilampadu represents a significant leap forward in educational accessibility.

The positive response from students and teachers highlights the program impact, demonstrating that geographical barriers need not limit educational opportunities.

Veerapur school welcomes AI learning

The students at the government school at Veerapur in Karnataka were looking forward to their first AI session. As the volunteer teacher was taking the class, the school's Headmistress (HM) Kasturi Alakanoor and a school teacher made a surprise visit to the classroom. After observing the entire session, the HM addressed the volunteer teacher Fred Rosario with heartfelt words of appreciation, emphasizing the immense value these classes will bring to her students. She commended the volunteer teacher for their selfless dedication, taking time out of their schedule to educate without any monetary compensation.

The HM encouraged the students to make the most of these classes, sharing that education is a powerful tool for transforming lives. Her words highlighted the opportunities AI learning could bring. The HM’s support emphasized the collaborative spirit that makes such programs successful.

Every journey of transformation begins with a single step. These AI sessions will one day evolve into months and years of learning for the students, giving students access to knowledge that was once out of reach. With passion, collaboration, and technology, even the most remote classrooms can unlock the rural potential—creating a foundation for a brighter, more equitable future.
