Typical costs include - Broadband expenses, Classroom resource person, Backend coordinators,
Technology platform costs etc. A child gets 2 classes per week per subject - Mathematics, Science and
English, for an entire academic year.
What does 'Adopting a Digital Classroom' mean?
This will help in establishing a Digital Classroom in an identified school in a remote village
through which online classes are conducted by the volunteers to the school children. The cost goes
towards the equipments - Computer, LED TV Screen, Camera, UPS and Modem.
What does 'Sponsor a Full Center' mean?
This helps in the complete setup of the Digital Classroom and the running/operating cost of the Center
with an approximate strength of 45 children, for an entire year.
Are my donations eligible for Income Tax exemptions?
Yes, donations made to eVidyaloka Trust are eligible for tax exemptions under Section 80(G) of the Income Tax Act.
How does Money Transfer happen?
Once the Donation option is selected by clicking on 'Donate', essential information is captured in the next screen.
A donor can then pay instantly through the 'Online' option or use Net Banking by adding eVidyaloka Account Details
and do an NEFT transfer. Alternately, payment can also be made via cheque with the information provided
and mail to the eVidyaloka Communication address, as specified on www.evidyaloka.org/contact_us.
The NEFT/Cheque information would be updated in the portal, along with the log-in credentials that would be mailed to you.
Do I get receipts for the Sponsorships made, and when?
Soft copies of Donations receipts will be issued within a week of donations received.
Physical copy can also be posted to the given address, on an email request.
Do you accept donations in USD?
No, currently eVidyaloka can accept donations only in Indian Rupees.
For Digital Classroom adoption, will I know the specific centre details?
Yes, you will be communicated the specific Centre information, but only after the formalities of the adoption are completed.
You will also receive periodic updates regarding the Centre.
For Child Sponsorships, will I know the details of the specific child(ren)?
eVidyaloka targets an optimal strength of 45 students per Centre.
As we work with govt. school children, we may not be able to share specific child details,
as this is the generic classroom operating cost, for the respective classroom strength.
However, if your sponsorship is for an entire class (15 children)
we will share the respective Centre’s details with you.
What is Rs. 4200 used for?
Children in the villages receive additional learning opportunities via lessons
from high quality teachers based across the world through eVidyaloka.

and productively function throughout the year.
